Friday Morning Sermon

FREEDOM - Do you remember the day you were set free? Today at Family Worship Center, at Resurrection Camp Meeting 2024, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads John 8:36 teaching on the price that was paid for our freedom. Reminding us of D-Day, June 6th, 1944 when some 300 ships flooded the coast of Normandy, where thousands of young Navy men stormed the beaches and gave their lives for freedom. Freedom is not free. One man, Jesus Christ, died for the freedom of the human heart, to be free from the bondage of the sin nature. This battle could not be won by the death of many men, but only by the death of one. The burden and the weight of sin were taken care of by the blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross. This is not a partial freedom. The blood of Jesus Christ is enough to save and sanctify every child of God. The same blood that brought us into the Kingdom is the same blood that keeps us in. Believer, get this; the same blood that justifies is the same blood that sanctifies. We cannot sanctify ourselves by works of our own hands. We can only live a righteous, victorious Christian life when we keep our faith in His finished work and that alone. This is where the Holy Spirit will change us into the image of Christ. For whom the Son has made free, is free indeed.
